About —
Anders Rhedin works with ambient sound, field recordings and spatial listening. His practice moves between performance, installation and long-form composition, often presented as sound baths — immersive environments where the audience listens lying down, eyes closed.
Rhedin has released five ambient and meditation albums on Captured Tracks and his work has been commissioned or presented by institutions such as ARoS, ARKEN and Thorvaldsens Museum, as well as by Google’s gPause program, Lincoln and festivals in Europe. He has performed in settings ranging from volcanic landscapes and Arctic villages to rooftops in Manhattan
Before developing his ambient practice, Rhedin was a member of, and produced for, the acclaimed Danish band Choir of Young Believers, and later released four albums under the solo moniker Dinner on Captured Tracks, touring internationally with artists such as Mac DeMarco, King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard and Sean Nicholas Savage.
He now lives north of Copenhagen, working on new pieces based on field recordings from Zealand
