Project: Sound bath performance
A site-responsive sound bath performance developed for Trevare Festival in Henningsvær, north of the Arctic Circle.
The work was shaped through an initial engagement with the surrounding landscape, where gong and electronics were attuned to the acoustic and atmospheric conditions of the site. The responsiveness of the gong — to space, air and environment — informed the subsequent performance, allowing local conditions to subtly influence tone, resonance and pacing.
This process culminated in a bespoke sound bath presented at the festival, translating the surrounding landscape into a slow, embodied listening experience.
